I used to work at Sam's Club years ago when it was nearly new. I worked the early morning shift, stocking shelves in the candy and snack-food department. Fun! It was a cool place to work, especially for part-timers. I used to buy a lot of my stuff there. In fact I'm looking at my electric pencil sharpener right now, which I bought there nearly 20 years ago! BTW, the store was known as Price Savers back then. The "Sam" in Sam's Club refers to Sam Walton, owner.

  • Former site of Zagi's Pizza, Visiting eagle (guest) wrote 17 years ago:
I ate there today (10-2-07). It is a nice little place. I emphasize LITTLE, as the dining area is about as big as grandma's family room. But the pizza was very good, and very garlicky! I had but one slice, and it was a HUGE slice, and it only came to $4.36 with the tax. I will definitely go back again and try some of their other types of pizza, maybe a calzone. They also carry some interesting old-fashioned soft drinks, like natural old-style cola made with cane sugar, and some sort of old-fashioned Dr. Pepper. Cool place, I recommend it. (PS - I "discovered" this place via this very photo-map here on Wikimapia.org when I was just zooming around Ballard. PPS - there's a cool little ice cream shop attached to them to the west, a doorway connects through the dining area.)

I ate at the Twin Teepees a few times as a kid. It was cool. Pancakes somehow taste better when you're seated inside a faux teepee sort of structure.
