    The Comet's been doing a very fine job of getting people very drunk since 1948. Under new ownership, the bar now offers hard liquor along with beer. However, the ceiling still has many dollar bills and playing cards stuck to it, the barstools are still tattered, and the floor of the women's room still has two footprint outlines worn through the linoleum in front of each toilet. Happy hour: 3-7 pm, during which micros are $3.25, domestic pints are $2, pitchers are $6, and $1 makes any well drink a double.

    favorite place in Seattle for gear. staff are uber friendly and ridiculously knowledgeable. have a sweet art gallery that is in the store - all sorts of ski/snowboard/skateboard artwork!
